Today I want to share with you a card I was super proud of the concept. It was a birthday card for my Mum. We all know how popular Wordle has become and our family is no exception, with a dedicated Wordle family WhatsApp group!!!
So with Mums birthday approaching I knew I wanted to create something along this theme. Me being me I didn’t want one that was just a printed card, I wanted to make a more interactive card that revealed each row separately.
This is what I came up with, an understated looking card but with 4 separate pull strips one for each word. It took a bit of brain power but I worked out how I wanted the card to look, and then created a SVG file to be used with any electronic cutting machine to cut the tear back strips. This was a bit fiddly to create as I needed to make sure everything lined up.
The photo’s have been taken once the card was opened, as by the very nature of the card, until Mum tore each strip back you couldn’t see what was below!
