So today I thought I would blow my own trumpet. I am uber pleased with myself for this one. I am not going to lie it took some time to work out dimensions and the best way to create the shapes, but I definitely think it was worth it.
I have used Black card for the base and gold mirri for the layers. The other elements are from the Hunkydory Clockwork Emporium collection. I love the aesthetic of steampunk it is so quirky, and artistic whilst also being geometric and illustrative. The chimpanzee is from the little book in this collection and is such a character. The butterfly die is also pretty incredible, with the addition of some gilding wax you can create a rusted aged metallic feel.
My message of the day when it comes to your card making is dream big… yes simple has its place but so does big! Creating a large base to your card gives you a large canvas to work your magic on And create what is in effect a piece of art.
