Today I would like to share with you a triple easel card I made with a steampunk twist. I like the variety of techniques I have brought to this card.
The card base is created from one piece of A4 paper Cut to 10.5 x 7 inches. I have then divided the back layer into 3 equal squares 3.5 inches in size. The centre square is scored horizontally at 1.75 inches down and the two side squares are scored diagonally to created the twisted effect. I have then cut three additional 3.5 inch square and glued them onto each part of the easel.
the embellishments have been created in different ways. They centre butterfly has been cut from black card using this Hunkydory die, which at time of writing is in the spring sale for £4.99. I have then used King Gold and Silver pebeo gilding waxes to create a metal effect on the butterfly.
The butterfly and light bulb on the two sides have been created using stamps from Pretty Gets Gritty Papercraft Society box 16. Rather than your traditional stamping, I have used cosmic shimmer chunky embossing powders to create a pool of liquid embossing powder, whilst in the liquid state I have pushed the stamp down into it, leaving it there until the embossing -order has cooled. Creating this lovely textured embellishment.
The cogs are from a range of die sets I have in my crafty stash, I have also used the die cuts as stencils to create the pattern on the base layer. The moon like die cut was also from the pretty gets gritty box.
Thats all for today folks, more soon.
xoxo
