Today is all about mans best friend, in particular the ever popular dachshund.
I hope to be able to make these images available in my shop shortly both as a download (if you have your own laser printer0 and also as laser printed sheets.
Here are a couple of samples I have made showing both the toppers and the backing papers.
The first one uses the little dogs off the backing paper. I have foiled in silver holographic and then cut up into individual rectangles and layered these onto some of Lynda Chapman black card. I have then used some pink card stock in the background to really make the foils pop.
The next is a stepper card. I have used both the toppers and the backing papers in this card, along with papers from the Nitwit Pawsitivity collection that Crafters Companion produced. I have used gold holographic foil on the images To produce a more masculine themed card.
The 3rd uses the largest of the toppers, and I wanted the topper to speak for itself. I have used alcohol markers to colour in the little dog before foiling (if you are using alcohol markers it is much better to colour then foil as the alcohol can react with the foil) once I had laid down the colour I then used my black foil to add a sophisticated gloss to the image. This has then been matted and layered onto Lynda chapman black card.
For all my card bases I use Lynda Chapman white card, for cards that need to have a more heavy duty feel to them (I personally like this in cards) I use collall all purpose glue to adhere two pieces together before scoring, this creates a solid bond, you could never tell it was two stuck together, and a really high quality heavy weight card.
