Do you ever get stuck for inspiration?

I find that it is easy to get into a pattern of doing the same type of card or project for a while and then, move onto the next one and that then becomes the go to design. So my mission is now to change this! There are lots of resources on line you can use for inspiration, there are some super talented designers like Sam on mixedupcrafts.com who comes up with some fantastic new innovative ideas, that creates showstopper type cards. Pinterest also has lots of ideas and for those that love physical products to look through don’t forget all the crafty magazines out there. I also like revisiting old techniques and skills to mix it up with new ideas. You can often find old craft magazines and books in charity shops. Whilst these often predate modern tools we now have access to you can find some real gem of ideas in them.

How about creating your own inspiration book? Either take a photo of a design/style you like, or cut the section out and then add it to a scrapbook style book, whether that be physical or digital. You then have such a wealth of ideas at your finger tips without having to sift through lots of pages and articles to find something you like.

I have just started to go through all my old magazines and scrapbook them. Here is an example of a page I have created and will be added to my crafty inspiration book.

There is so much inspiration out there let’s use it!
