Today I wanted to share with you a card that is simple to make and give you a little tip for making an aperture with very detailed dies within it. This bunny is just the cutest and is from the Two Red Robins Spring Time collection.
To make this card you will need:
To make this card:
Cut a piece 6 x 8 from the green card and cut an oval aperture from the centre, I have used the 2nd largest Oval in the die set
Cut the frame from Kraft Card, and overlay onto the green piece you have cut.
Cut two pieces of acetate 5 3/4 x 7 3/4, fix one to the back of your green aperture card, to create a window. You will need to use red liner tape here to make sure it sticks in place.
Layer your Vines onto the other piece of acetate, try and keep them towards the centre. You can hover the card front over the piece so you can see how it will look.
Add red liner tape around the edge of the back of the green piece and fix onto the 2nd piece of acetate, sandwiching your vines between. This will allow you to create the vine aperture without having to glue each leaf in place!
Cut a piece of white card 6 1/2 x 8, score at 1/2 along the 6 1/2 side. Attach the tab to the card front to create your card blank.
Cut a 5 3/4 x 7 3/4 piece from your background papers and layer onto the inside of your card.
Add your Bunnies to the front using 3D glue gel to complete your card.
And there you have it, that is all there is to it, the two layers of acetate will cling together keeping your vine in place, and allowing you to have the cascading vines without having to glue every leaf.
Nearly the weekend now, so even more crafting planned!
