Hey fellow Crafty People! I know I have completely neglected my blog for a longgggg time, so I will start with an apology. It is easy to say you will do something but it is something else to actually do it. I have been doing lots of crafting and plan on beginning to share with you some of the projects I have been making, along with some crafty hints and tips.
Todays make is a card using the Festive Favourites collection from Highlight Crafts. It is a super fun collection and perfect for creating those cards where you aren't sure quite what the recipient would like.
To make this card you will need;
White Card - 4 1/2 x 10 score along the 4 1/2 at 1/2
4 x 10 cut a 2 x 8 inch aperture in the centre
3 1/2 x 9 1/2 cut a 2 1/2 x 9 1/2 inch aperture
Silver Mirror - 3 3/4 x 9 3/4 cut a 2 1/4 x 8 1/4 aperture
Patterned Backing paper - 3 3/4 x 9 3/4
9 Gnome die cuts
Embroidery Thread
Create your card blank, by joining the two large white pieces together.
Layer your patterned paper on the inside of the card
Cut a 9 inch length of embroidery thread, and fix your gnomes to it. I have used hot glue to attach them. You might want leave 2 gnomes and add them once your card is completed to cover the top & bottom.
Layer your thread onto the card front and fix in place with a bit of red liner tape.
Layer your remaining silver and white apertures onto the front. These will then cover the join of the thread.
And voila you have a super fun unique Christmas card.
If you want to find the dies for the gnomes you will be able to find them here.
I have used 300gsm white Craft Master Card & Silver Mirror Card that you can pick up from many different places.
So there you go, my first post back and I am sure there will be many many more to come.
Crafty Hugs xx
