Today was my birthday, or should I say is my birthday! My gifts consisted of craft supplies, a gemini foilpress and a wonderful blanket crocheted by my sister. It took her about a 100 hours to do it is incredible, i will try and take a picture to share. Today was a real reminder of just how important families are, and even though we can be miles apart we need to be there for one another through the good times and the bad.
With that in mind, I have made a card to send to my Sister to let her know that I am thinking about her, a 'just because' card.
I have used a mini embossing folder from crafters companion for the butterflies and then used gilding wax over the top. The letters are cut using xcut dies and then paper pieced to create the box effect.
The card is a simple one, but sometimes simple is the best.
