There’s nothing quite like a handmade gift. It’s the thought and care that goes into making it that makes it so special. Anyone can go out and buy a gift, but it takes time and effort to make one. When you make a gift by hand, you are putting a piece of yourself into it. You are giving a part of yourself to the person you are giving the gift to. Whether it’s a homemade card, a cake, a piece of jewelry, or a knitted scarf, the time and effort you put into making it is what makes it so special. The person who receives a handmade gift knows that you took the time to make something just for them. They know that you were thinking of them when you made it. That’s the best part of receiving a handmade gift – knowing that the person who gave it to you was thinking of you when they made it.
A handmade Christmas is the best kind of Christmas. It's a time to slow down, be with family and friends, and make things with your own two hands. It's a time to give the gift of your time.
So there is no time like the present (no pun intended) go and start creating.
