A bit of colouring… oh and some foiling!

I have been having some colouring fun, using some Lili of the Valley (LOTV) digi stamps. As I have said before there is something so mindful about colouring. I am not one for colouring flat images, I like to add shade and texture to give a more realistic finish. The process of blending is the bit I find the most enjoyable. You can transform a flat image by layering colour down and you can see it grow with each layer of colour you put down.

I coloured this adorable little image with my Ohuhu alcohol markers,

once coloured I used my light gold foil and foiled over the image. I keep mentioning it but if you are wanting to colour an image with alcohol markers and foil it, you need to make sure you colour first and then foil. This is because the alcohol in the pens can react with the foil and leave marks on the foil.

It’s hard to show the foil on the lines in a photo, but all the black lines have been foiled and add to overall look of the image.

If you are ever in a creative block give colouring a go :-)

xoxo
